HRSA Announces $18 Million for State Maternal Health Innovation Program with Funding Secured by BMHC
WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) announced $18 million in grant funding requested by the Black Maternal Health Caucus.
The funding, awarded through HRSA’s State Maternal Health Innovation (MHI) Program, will support 15 awardees in states across the country to help them establish maternal health task forces in their states, improve the collection and use of state-level data on maternal health, target interventions to reduce disparities, and boost the delivery of maternal health services.
The 15 awardees include Departments of Public Health and state offices of Health and Human Services, as well as universities, private hospitals, and medical centers. They are listed below:
