WASHINGTON, D.C. — In a letter to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Representative Lauren Underwood (IL-14), Representative Alma Adams (NC-12), Representative Steven Horsford (NV-04), and Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) urged the Biden-Harris Administration to include policy priorities of the Black Maternal Health Caucus and fully fund the Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act in the President’s Budget for Fiscal Year 2025.

WASHINGTON – 72% of Americans rank passing Congresswoman Lauren Underwood’s (IL-14) Black Maternal Health “Momnibus” Act as their number one priority for the end-of-year package. 85% of Democrats, 63% of Independents, and 59% of Republicans support its immediate passage, according to a new poll from Navigator Research.

WASHINGTON – Today, the Black Maternal Health Caucus, led by Representatives Lauren Underwood (IL-14) and Alma Adams (NC-12) celebrated the inclusion of every eligible provision of the Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act (H.R. 959) in the Build Back Better Act, which passed the House of Representatives. The Momnibus, a sweeping package of 12 bills to end the U.S. maternal health crisis, was introduced in February 2021 by Underwood, Adams, Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), and other members of the Black Maternal Health Caucus.
